Faith in Action – Time to pitch in!
As we reconnect and move forward into the fall season, let’s all pitch in to keep WPUC running smoothly!
-
Livestream – can you help keep this vital ministry going? We are looking for 2 or 3 more people to learn how to livestream – all training supplied! Your commitment would be one Sunday per month. This ministry brings our Sunday morning service to those who cannot attend in person. Please call the church office at 204-256-8792 for more information.

We are looking for a few friendly people to greet at the door on Sunday mornings. Your role would be to arrive around 10 a.m. and welcome people as they come to church. Interested? Talk to Alana or call the church office!
-
Do you enjoy having some time to visit after church? We are looking for hosts for September to make coffee/tea/juice for after church fellowship! Providing cookies is not the job of the hosts, so if you want to bring in cookies, it would be much appreciated! After church fellowship is a great time to catch up, visit, and build community with others in the congregation and we have noticed that people tend to head right out after the service if there isn’t a social time provided. Sign-up sheets are by the office and supplies are provided. Help with set-up/clean-up can be arranged if needed. This community-building opportunity will not be available unless people sign up!
-
Offering counters – this important job requires 2 people to count and balance the offering each week after church. All training is provided and you work with a partner. Sign-up sheets are by the office.
-
Liturgists – We are looking for 2-3 more people to add their names to our current list of liturgists for the fall months. The liturgist is the person who helps lead worship (usually the Call to Worship, opening prayer and scripture readings) and assists the guest worship leader each week as needed. All training is provided. Call Sue at the church office (204-256-8792) for more information or to volunteer!
-
Telephone/Visiting buddies – Pastoral care is a vital role in the life and work of the church. If you would like to be a part of the group calling or visiting others in the congregation, please let the office know.
-
Book Sellers – We would like to get our monthly after-church book sale up and running again, but need a few helpers. The job involves setting up a few tables and putting out books before church on a scheduled Sunday and then putting the books back in the cupboard after coffee time. Let us know if you can help!

Did you know that we have a small food pantry at the church for those in need in our neighbourhood? The food pantry currently needs the following items:
– Instant coffee
– Soup – canned or boxed packages – chicken noodle is most popular
– canned meat/fish
– Pasta and pasta sauces
– Granola bars
Items can be dropped off during office hours or on Sunday mornings!
