Faith in Action – Sunday October 14 – World Food Day

World Food Day (WFD) was founded by the United Nations’ (UN) Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 1945, and has been observed annually, every October 16, since 1981. The event was established to increase awareness of world hunger and poverty and to inspire solutions for world change.

Today, World Food Day is celebrated by many communities around the world.   Join us as we collect food on Sunday, October 14 in support of West Broadway Community Ministry’s emergency food pantry.

Non-perishable items can be brought to the church on October 14.

Oct. 20 update – A big THANK YOU to all who brought food on October 14.  We were able to take the food to West Broadway Emergency Pantry as well as top-up our own emergency food pantry at Windsor Park United!
