Giving Tuesday

What is Giving Tuesday?  Giving Tuesday has become a day focused on giving as a counterbalance to the excess of buying on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
It encourages us to place the events side by side and consider how we share both our time and money with the charitable organizations around us.

If you would like to share some of your Giving Tuesday generosity with Windsor Park United Church, these are the ways you can donate:

  • drop off a cheque in the mailbox, or bring it into the church during office hours on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.)

  • Please do not mail a cheque this year, due to the postal strike. 

  • E-transfer your donation to office@windsorparkunitedchurch.com

  • Give through Canada Helps.  You can make a one time donation or set up a monthly donation.   https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/windsor-park-united-church/

  • Call in to use your PAR (Leave a message at 204-256-8792).  Make a one-time donation or add a monthly top-up to your current donation

  • Become a PAR member (Leave a message at 204-256-8792).  PAR stands for pre-authorized remittance.  The amount of money your choose to donate automatically comes out of your bank account each month

Funds raised for Giving Tuesday will help us continue to live out our mission by going towards the General Fund of Windsor Park United Church (which includes funding needed for calling a new minister) and the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada.  You can also designate your donation to be used to help with the cost of our Christmas Hampers.

*All donations made until December 31, 2024 will be included on your 2024 Tax Receipt.
