THELMA EVELYN GREEN Thelma passed away peacefully on July 29 at the Poseidon Care Centre. Born in 1916, she was the only daughter of William and Pauline Nass (nee Goltz). She is survived by her husband G. Clifford Green, her sons, Bruce (Shirley) and Richard; her daughter Linda Dart; and her grandchildren, Erin Green and Allison and Jonathan Dart. After graduating from St. Mary's Academy in 1932, Thelma began her career as a stenographer at HBC Fur Trade. Later, during the war, she worked for the British Army in Washington, DC. In 1946, she married Cliff who became her inseparable companion for 58 years. They moved to Edmonton where all their children were born and then returned to Winnipeg where they lived in Niakwa Park for 46 years. After raising her family Thelma went to work for Imperial Life. During her retirement Thelma spent many happy years enjoying her grandchildren and friends. She was always interested in people, loved socializing and entertaining, and was a supporter of music and the arts. She was an active member of Windsor Park United Church. The family would like to thank the staff of the Poseidon Care Centre for their wonderful nursing care, for the kindness they gave to Thelma, and for the emotional support they provided to Cliff and Linda. A celebration of Thelma's life will be held at Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Dr. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3. Rest in peace, Mum. We will miss you. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
