Resource links for “The Jesus Fatwah”

A study group that has been running since November, “The Jesus Fatwah” is a video series from Living the Questions discussing the relationship between Christians and Muslims.  More information about the program can be found at:  http://www.livingthequestions.com/xcart/home.php?cat=493

Here are a couple of other links coming out of our discussions at The Jesus Fatwah study group:

The talk below was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. One day, Karima Bennoune found herself wondering whether she could protect her father with a paring knife. She tells the stories of individual Muslims struggling against fundamentalism and terrorism.  The name of Karima’s book is called “Your Fatwah Does Not Apply Here.”  The link to the book site is:  http://www.karimabennoune.com/books/your-fatwa-does-not-apply-here/

The Moderator of the United Church, The Right Rev. Gary Paterson, has written to the Église Protestante Unie de France, the Canadian Council of Imams, and the National Muslim Christian Liaison Committee of Canada to express the church’s sorrow and outrage at the tragic events in France, and our hope that Muslims and Christians can work together toward justice and peace in a world torn by such violence.  Read the letters at:
