“Wow what a Cookie Walk! A big thank you to everyone who baked cookies, decorated the basement, prepped trays, served, the runners, and crowd control, namely:Bill Belsham, Major Rodd, Morris Deveson, Wayne Baldwin and Len Kernaghan. Also, a special thank you to Diena Rodd, Margo Baldwin, Carol Belsham, Barb Kelly, and Helen & Catherine Smallwood who worked in special areas. With the help of the whole congregation, we made a profit of $2,085.00! Thanks everyone, Deanna Kernaghan.”
With the support of many friends, your Outreach Council will be preparing Christmas Hampers for 21 families this season. The Christmas Cheer Board provides guidelines for the perishable/non-perishable items to be included in each hamper, and the average cost is $100 (not including gifts). Today and next Sunday, envelopes will be included with the Sunday Bulletins. If you wish to make a donation, please insert it in that envelope, noting the amount and the # of your regular offering envelope (or your last name). Your donation can be placed in the offering plate or dropped off in Heather’s office. Thank you for any support you can offer! If you would like to purchase a gift for one of the hampers, please speak to Melissa in the Sunday School. If you and a trusty sidekick would be willing to deliver one of the hampers on the Saturday, Dec. 15th, please sign-up on the sheet posted in the lobby. Thank you to one and all for your support of this project! Merry Christmas!
The Mitten Tree will be on display at the back of the sanctuary until the end of December. If you wish to donate outdoor accessories (including scarves, hats, mittens, gloves, neck warmers, or socks), please place the item(s) on or under the tree. All donations will be delivered to Rossbrook House in early January for distribution to children who use that facility. Thank you for your kind support!
The Worship Council would like to thank Sylvia & Bob Mann for setting up and decorating our sanctuary Christmas Tree again this year!
