“Walk a Mile in My Shoes” for West Broadway Community
“Walk a Mile in My Shoes” will take place Saturday, September 26th and is an educational event as well as a fundraiser. It’s been said that to understand someone, you must walk a mile in their shoes. This event is designed to give participants a snapshot of what it’s like to live in poverty, particularly with some of the issues individuals and families face to make ends meet. We are encouraging participants to gather their colleagues, fellow students, fellow faith-community members, and family to form a team to participate. Forming a team will allow you to celebrate the day with friends and family and create a community of people committed to ending poverty that you can continue to learn with.
Want to participate? Join the team “Windsor Park Walkers!”
Registration Cost is $20/person. Download the registration form or get answers to Frequently Asked Questions at:

Volunteers are also needed! See the website for more details!
Unable to participate? Help by sponsoring an Ambassador. We have a number of volunteer ambassadors ready to guide people through the neighbourhood and tell them a bit about the stops and places in between. If you can’t participate in the walk, you can sponsor an ambassador for $50. To arrange to be a sponsor contact Candace at 204-774-2773 or by email wbcmoffice@gmail.com. Your name will be listed on our program as a sponsor.
